Artist's Comments
This drawing has great sentimental meaning for me. I took my Mum to feed a tiger for her 60th birthday. She loved tigers. This is Ghengis and when we read his details on a sign outside his compound, we were happily surprised to see he shared the same birthdate as my Mum. I'll never forget the look on her face as he walked into the feeding area - he was huge! Later, as we were leaving, I saw him sat in the sun and as I pointed the camera I was very lucky to catch him yawning. I thought it would be great to draw showing that yawn in stages!
