Artist's Comments
Stunning Venice again and a boat trip around the main canal and this building in glorious sunshine took my breath away. It's full name, Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute. My Mum's name is Maria so I had to draw it for her. I never finished it before I lost my Mum so this drawing has a lot of emotion attached to it. It took some time for me to pick up the pens again but she made me promise never to give up drawing. I know she would have loved it.
