Artist's Comments
The more detail I can draw into the image, the better the finished artwork looks. The eyes are so important and with a good quality photo to work from I was able to put a lot of detail in Hewie's eyes. It's the first thing that draws (excuse the pun) me to this image and I hope, even though I drew Hewie in pencil, his black, tan and white markings also show in this completed drawing to the viewer.
