This drawing was sketched in pencil and then I used coloured ink on watercolour paper. It is the only drawing I have ever done in this way and I think I can say it was probably my first colour commission. I didn’t have any digital software at that time and felt that the coloured inks gave the vibrancy of the kingfishers feathers.
